‘Palace Hotel Kalgoolie 1898’

Kalgoorlie has now good cause to boast of its hotels, and of none more than the Palace Hotel, the imposing structure at the corner of Hannan-street and Maritana.street, and therefore in the very centre of the town. No matter to what extent of importance and population the town of Kalgoorlie may eventually rise, it will be a matter of difficulty to improve upon the Palace Hotel, as in its erection the wisdom bought of long and observant experience has been brought to bear. – Kalgoorlie Western Argus (WA) Thursday 29 September 1898.
