IT was rather amusing to watch the Indignant bearing and glances of tram travellers at the corner of Brunswick and Ann streets [Fortitude Valley] yesterday and to-day.

One lady almost caused a breach of the peace by asking a “nodding acquaintance” if she were going in to have a drink – this particular “stop” being right up against the front entrance of a well-known hotel [Royal George].

It may be all right for thirsty souls, but what about the I.O.G.T.s* and their sympathisers?

Mr. Badger* should get a move on, and either go a few steps backward or a few forward!
