My parents, Pam & Bob East, came from the Hotel Illawarra, Wollongong to the Town Hall Hotel in 1963 for just over three years. They cleaned it up from being a pretty rough pub. We lived on the 1st floor and had three only long-term tenants on the top floor. In 1967 they took on The Lakes Hotel at The Entrance.
