A POPULAR INNOVATION
Much interest attached to the opening of a “beer garden” at the Club Hotel, Burnie (Tasmania) on Saturday evening, because it was the first time the idea, which has proved popular on the mainland, had been tried in these parts. The accommodation includes provision for dancing on a concrete floor with a glass smooth surface. Picture shows a section of the patronage, which was so large that many had to be turned away.
