The Hotel Victoria was the only pub trading in Darwin in the later half of 1932 after the forced closure of the Terminus Hotel in 1931 and Club Hotel in 1932.
DARWIN, Saturday:— The Club Hotel has been closed by order of the Government. The only hotel now open is the Hotel Victoria, owned by Mrs Christina Gordon and her sons. The Terminus Hotel was closed by the Government last October, and the building was demolished. It and the Club Hotel were State owned, and were leased from the Commonwealth by Mr J. J. Parker, whose daughter, Mrs Beryl Chapman, was the licensee of the Club Hotel.
