THERE was a mopping-up process in Cessnock on Saturday.
Habitues of hotels remained in their favourite haunts until the beer was consumed, and then marched en masse to the next hotel where beer was on tap.
This continued until the stocks of the seven hotels in Vincent-street were exhausted.
The procession reminded one of thirsty cameliers in the desert.
