GOSFORD (NSW), Sunday. – Gosford has a woolly Airedale with a time sense. Basking in the sun all day “Jock” meanders down to the Hotel Gosford punctually at 5 o’clock each evening, forces his way through the swing doors, places his giant paws on tile saloon-bar counter, and awaits patiently until the barmaid passes over his quota of hot sausages. The patrons set their watches by “Jock”, who has not missed his cut for five years. And he does not call on Sundays.
