Darwin beer drinkers may have to curb their thirst. It has been discovered that secret drinkers have disposed of £300 worth of beer from the reserve stock of a local publican. When the store was opened this week the scene of the orgy was strewn with wreckage of beer barrels. White ants had riddled every barrel. Many had fallen to bits and the beer in those which had not was ruined. There was not a drinkable drop left out of eighty 18-gallon barrels of beer.
