STRANGE HOTEL PENALTY.

For one hour drinks were off at First Nugget Hotel, Bathurst, as the result of an order made by Mr. Le Brun Brown (chairman of the Licenses Reduction Board) for the license of the hotel to be suspended between 6am and 7am. This was a nominal penalty for failure of the licensee and owner to carry out improvements ordered two years ago.

  • The First Nugget Hotel was demolished in 1939 and replaced with the Tourist Hotel in 1940. The Tourist Hotel closed in the 1990s and the licence transferred to the Snow Valley Hotel-Motel, Kosciusko Road, East Jindabyne. More: First Nugget Hotel.
