Long drink ends sailor’s long thirst

ABLE SEAMAN E. WELLS, of the Sydney, having a long drink of Sydney beer yesterday — his first for more than a year. An hotel was his first stop on getting leave. Ordinary pint pots were not big enough for his thirst. He called for the bar’s three-pint jug. – Sydney Daily Telegraph February 11 1941
