On the job for 85 years
THREE employees of the Imperial Hotel, Inverell (NSW) have spent a total of 85 years at the one hotel.
William Henderson (left) has been barman for 27 years, says he has opened between 15,000 and 20,000 kegs of beer.
Mrs Florrie O’Brien started as a casual waitress 42 years ago, says she regards the job now as a permanent one.
Tom Dafter, chef (right), says he has pre-pared 1,747,200 meals in his 16 years at the Imperial — a lot of meals for a pressure-cooker, let alone a cook.
